Sterling stuns Harrison in double-overtime to win first Group 2 title since 1976

Sterling has been working towards winning a state title since last year.
After finishing 10-8 and seeing their season end with a 1-0 loss to Cedar Creek in the South, Group 2 quarterfinals last year, the Silver Knights went to work. According to senior midfielder Jason Camardo, the team met in the weight room at 6 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and also started to build chemistry and camaraderie on and off the field.
